Celebrating 2022 in style!
Can you believe we are now only a couple of weeks away from the big day? We love this time of year at Chimney, it gives us a chance to catch our breath after a crazy-busy year and presents an opportunity for us to prepare for a new year of grooms who will be proposing over the festive period.
What a year it has been! We have come bouncing back post-lockdowns to grow the business in ways we could never have imagined possible. And that’s with the greatest thanks to our wonderful customers and the team here at Chimney. So lets dive into the details of the last 12 months and look forward to, what will be, an incredible 2023. What a great year 2022 was for Chimney 2022 has been monumental for the Team at Chimney on so many levels; our busiest year on record, the largest number of bookings in any 12-month period, the biggest group sizes of groomsmen and women we have ever styled, and whilst the pandemic starts to feel like a fading memory, we are relishing in the challenges and growths the business has made and continues to make!
Happy grooms – our mission and purpose Many couples whose weddings were delayed because of the pandemic have been busy tying the knot and have chosen Chimney to help them bring a unique style to their special day and events.
Unique styling is our passion at Chimney; its our creative outlet and gives us so much joy when we see impeccably styled grooms. Its not just our grooms in 2022, we’ve styled individuals for black tie events and much more. When we say, we have loved meeting all of our grooms (and their fiancé’s and families), we really have! We love hearing about their plans and hopes for their wedding day outfits; we love watching the transformation that happens before our mirrors when they step out of the changing room and see themselves for the first time in tails or tweed, looking absolutely amazing!
Gents come to us as strangers and leave as friends!
And this year it’s been wonderful to welcome back some of those gents returning to us with other grooms as part of another wedding party, and the planning and styling starts again! We love the continual evolution of events that Chimney is blessed to be a part of and we are truly grateful to our loyal customers who choose us for their special events. As ever, we have been sent some lovely reviews, full of gratitude from grooms after their amazing day. It always fills us with great pleasure and pride to see how incredible – and confident – our grooms, best men, ushers, dad’s and bride’s men look in their individual styles.

To say we are excited for 2023 is an understatement – we can’t wait!
Celebrating six years of style innovation Back in the spring we celebrated our sixth birthday and we certainly raised a glass or two to mark the occasion. Reaching this business anniversary milestone and being able to share it with our grooms and their families was a joy for us!
Chimney is on the up As the year progressed, we have been constantly thinking and planning and working on ways to further develop and enhance the Chimney Experience. We’ve been busy …. This year we introduced exclusive newsletters keeping our customers up-to-date on everything Chimney; our shopping spree at INDX has brought new accessories to enhance the retail experience for all our customers; we’ve updated our range of belts and braces, our collection of ties and bow ties is constantly being refreshed; and we’ve brought into store a brand new Wool & Cashmere mix overcoat.
The arrival of our new Chimney-branded suit covers at our HQ just a few days ago has caused quite a stir, with our logo and in Chimney colours, these look great on the rail, our grooms love leaving the shop with a Chimney cover over their shoulder, and really reflect the quality of our brand.
And the big news item which we’ve struggled to keep under wraps these past few months is … Chimney is Expanding! In 2022 the demand and need for the service we offer reached exceptional levels, and to meet the needs of 2023, we have expanded the business into the first-floor space directly above Chimney HQ.
Here we will be able to offer a wider selection of evening wear; we’ve already stocked up on our gorgeous and diverse new range of casual and business wear shirts to add more choice and the extra space will be great! We are so excited about this growth in the business; we can hear drills and hammers working away as we type this and cannot wait to share this space with everyone! Further updates coming soon! Chimney takes to the road In addition to all the changes happening at HQ, we’ve taken Chimney far and wide throughout 2022, attending the highest number of wedding fairs and shows we’ve ever done, right across the region. We love taking the Chimney Experience to fairs and events and sharing our passion with all those excited couples starting to plan for their big day.
We love nothing more than chatting with you, encouraging you to think about alternative choices and different colours and textures, and giving you a sneak peak into our styling service. We’re grateful to be part of such a strong and vibrant wedding industry community and to catch up with our network of wedding and event professionals. To start 2023 we are already booked into Hanbury Manor, Madingley Hall and Fanhams Hall; we look forward to seeing you there! Throughout the year, many will have met our very own Amy, the newest member of the Chimney team, who has just celebrated her first anniversary with us. Where did the time go ...?
