Data Protection is of particularly high priority to all staff at Chimney Formal Menswear and forms an integral part of our high standards of customer service. General browsing of our website does not require the submission of an individual’s personal data but if an enquiry is made via our ‘Contact’ page some personal data such as name, telephone number, email address will be collected. In line with the General Data protection Regulations (GDPR) we implement technical and organisational measures to ensure as complete a protection of your personal data as possible.

Chimney Formal Menswear’s website uses cookies to track activity by browsers..  These are used to provide a more user-friendly service for our browsers allowing the information on our website to be optimised with the user in mind.  The setting of Cookies can be deactivated by the user in the Internet browser they are using.

How we Store Information:
At all times personal data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
Information transmitted to us via the internet cannot be guaranteed completely secure so you may wish to contact us via telephone or in person by visiting our shop.
Once we have received your information we will use strict procedures and security to prevent unauthorised access.
Data is stored on a password protected computer and hard copies stored in a locked cabinet.
 
How Long we Keep Data:
Personal data is only used for as long as necessary to complete contracted work.
Legally we are required to keep basic data linked to contracted work for 7 years.
Data related to general enquiries is kept for 3 years and is used only to assess success, trends and growth of the business in general. Access to all data is permitted to staff of Chimney Formal Menswear only to complete their job function.  No data is transmitted to third parties.
 
Right of Access and Right to be Forgotten:
An individual may request the full details of all information held about them at any time.
An individual may also request to have all their data removed from our records.

The removal of data may inhibit the fulfilment of the contract if requested before the contract is completed.
