If you want to make an impression at your wedding or event then wearing a tux (or black tie) would be the perfect choice! Stylish, classic and timeless a tux works well for a formal wedding or evening event such as a gala or award ceremony.
Styling your tux
A classic black tux is a popular choice, this can come as single or double-breasted and often worn with matching satin stripe trousers and a white dress shirt. Accessorise with a black silk bow tie, black waistcoat and finish off with patent leather shoes. Jacket colours can also include navy and green. All available to purchase, with black and Navy available to hire or purchase.

Velvet
Another option for styling your tux is to wear a velvet jacket. This look is great for an autumn or winter wedding and adds a luxurious and rich appearance, helping the groom to stand out amongst his groomsmen. Typically featuring contrasting satin lapels to elevate this sophisticated look! Available to purchase in black, burgundy, navy, royal or dark green.

Double-breasted v single-breasted
The main difference between double-breasted and single-breasted is the arrangement of buttons. The DB has overlapping front flaps with two rows of buttons for a bolder more structured look, whilst a SB jacket creates a
v shape, elongating the torso. Also available is a scoop neck waistcoat which helps to show off your dress shirt and bow tie.

How to stand out in a tux as a groom
There are many options to elevate your tux, particularly if you’re the groom. A great combination would be to have a double-breasted jacket with pleated stud buttoned dress shirt, a bat-wing velvet bow tie and a white satin pocket-square, you could even add braces to add an extra element of interest!
